Social Audit, Public Hearing and Review Meeting Program at HELP NEPAL Network Children’s Home, Dhulikhel
On 21 August 2026, HELP NEPAL Network Children’s Home, Dhulikhel, hosted a Social Audit, Public Hearing and Review Meeting, bringing together government representatives, community members, child-focused organizations, schools, stakeholders, and the HELP NEPAL Network team.
The program provided an important platform to reflect on the Children’s Home’s activities, share experiences, listen to community feedback, and strengthen the relationship between the organization and the community it serves. The Social Audit was conducted as a meaningful process of promoting transparency, accountability, participation, and responsible service delivery, while keeping the well-being and rights of children at the center of our work.
In the presence of HELP NEPAL Network (HeNN) Team Members. We had our honorable guest Mr. Mohan Prashad Marasini, Chief Administrative Officer of Dhulikhel Municipality; Mr. Sunil Lama, President of the Children’s Home Federation; Mr. Bidur Gautam, Social Development Officer of Dhulikhel Municipality; Mr. Subodh Dhimal, Municipal Child Rights Facilitator of Dhulikhel Municipality; and Ms. Sarita Sapkota, Senior Assistant, Fifth Level, Dhulikhel Municipality, along with representatives from various organizations and institutions.
The event also brought together Mr. Ram Prasad Shrestha, Co-coordinator along with representatives and children’s of HELP NEPAL Network Children’s Home, Dhulikhel; representatives from Siddhartha Children’s Home and other children’s homes in the surrounding areas; representatives from Sanjivini Secondary School and Panchakanya Basic School; representatives, advisors, managers, and secretaries and local community members from Dhulikhel Municipality Wards No. 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
The gathering encouraged open dialogue among the Children’s Home, local government, educational institutions, child-focused organizations, and community members. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the Children’s Home’s operations, activities, services, and efforts to create a safe and supportive environment for children. The Social Audit and Public Hearing demonstrated the importance of collective participation in creating stronger and more accountable institutions dedicated to children’s well-being. The insights gained from this program will guide us in enhancing our services and ensuring the well being of the children in our care.
