Menstrual Hygiene and Dignity Initiative at HELP NEPAL Network Children’s Home
On October 7, 2026, representatives of the Leo Club of KUSMS, in collaboration with Leo Clubs from India, Brazil, and Sri Lanka, conducted a Menstrual Hygiene and Dignity Initiative titled “Period Without Pause (Red Alert)” at HELP NEPAL Network Children’s Home, Dhulikhel. The initiative aimed to promote menstrual health awareness, hygiene, and dignity among girls.
The programme featured an interactive educational session covering menstrual hygiene, menstrual health, common myths and misconceptions, social taboos, healthy menstrual practices, and the proper use of menstrual products. The session provided an opportunity for the girls to learn, ask questions, and develop a better understanding of menstruation in a supportive and respectful environment. As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were also distributed to the girls to support their menstrual hygiene needs.
Help Nepal Network expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Leo Club of KUSMS for their valuable contribution, dedication, and commitment to the well-being of the girls at HELP NEPAL Network Children’s Home, Dhulikhel.
