Silver Jubilee Anniversary Celebrations of HELP NEPAL Network
HELP NEPAL Network marked its 25th anniversary and held a Global Meet on December 28, 2024, at Rastriya Sabha Griha, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The ceremony brought together numerous distinguished Nepalis and International guests including representatives from different chapters.
We were honored to have Dr. Sanduk Ruit as our Chief Guest at the ceremony. He expressed his happiness saying that the organization has transformed the global community into a garland by saying, “Today Nepalis are in the corners of the world. They are intellectual property for Nepal. Let them come and teach us what they have learned.”
During the ceremony, Dr. Sanduk Ruit honored several individuals for their contributions, including Dr. Bhagwan Koirala, senior cardiologist and key figure in building the Children’s Heart Hospital, Ramjee Adhikari and Sushila (Rupa) KC, social workers at Manav Seva Ashram, and Sabita Upreti, founder of the Special School and Rehabilitation Center for children with autism.
Other esteemed 25 personalities who were honored for their support of the $4000 for the organization’s administrative fund included Siddharth Rana, Dr. Rudra Pandey, Dr. Upendra Mahato, Jiba Lamichhane, Purna Man Singh Basnet, Rabindra Mishra, Sarika Mishra, and 18 other distinguished individuals.
A heartfelt video by Mr.Rabindra Mishra, the founder of HELP NEPAL Network, recounted the network’s journey in promoting practical philanthropy. Our Global Coordinator, Mr. Bhagirath Yogi from the UK, presented a short video highlighting how we have worked with HELP NEPAL Network for 25 years with a small fund, proudly contributing to the fields of health, education, and disaster relief.
Dr. Upendra Mahato claimed that if Nepalis resolve to build a country, a country will definitely be built. Former Minister Mr.Shankar Prasad Koirala, the advisor of the organization, expressed his gratitude to the Nepalis around the world who joined the HELP NEPAL Network.
HELP NEPAL Network Nepal President Mr.Arun Singh Basnet expressed gratitude for the cooperation and harmony over the past 25 years and committed to continuing the work with the same dedication. The event also honored the formation of a new Global Coordination Committee, with Mr.Dila Kharel as its global coordinator from Australia. Its members include Mr.Bhagirath Yogi, Dr. Raju Adhikari, and Mr.Rosendra Dhoj Khadka.
A documentary showcasing HELP NEPAL Network’s activities was screened and the celebration was a reminder of the power of cooperation and commitment in building a better future.
