Cycling Expedition To Everest Base Camp Complete: 1,041 KM Conquered in 11 Days
We are proud to share that Mr. Dinesh Pal, a 41-year-old professional at Mastercard, devoted husband, and proud father originally from Dethala, Darchula in Far Western Nepal, has successfully completed an extraordinary cycling journey, covering 1,041 kilometers in just 11 days from Lhasa, Tibet to Everest Base Camp, and concluding in Kathmandu, Nepal.
This incredible feat was aimed at raising funds to support Dethala Village, envisioning a future where every child receives quality education, healthcare is accessible to all, and sustainable farming helps the community thrive.
This expedition was not just a test of physical endurance and willpower at altitudes between 4,500 and 5,200 meters but also a journey of purpose: to give back to the community that shaped him.
In collaboration with HELP NEPAL Network and Lions Club of Kathmandu, Cleopatra, this campaign aims to raise £5,000 to support sustainable development in Dethala Village.
Goals:
1) Improve Healthcare: Establish better medical facilities and ensure regular healthcare camps in Dethala.
2) Enhance Education: Provide resources and infrastructure for quality education, including scholarships, school supplies, and teacher training programs.
3) Promote Sustainable Farming: Support local farmers with training and resources to implement sustainable agricultural practices that can improve their livelihoods.
4) Enhance Financial Inclusion: Provide access to digital finance and improve financial literacy, empowering villagers to manage their finances effectively and access wider economic opportunities.
