TIME:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Gwalindaha Community Forestry Group, which is closely associated with the Gwalindaha Community for a very long time, had requested the Lions Club to assist them to solve the water problem of the community.
The local people, including children, had no choice other than carrying water every day from a long distance up the hill to their homes, which had been on-going for generations.
Subsequently after receiving the proposal along with the technical survey report from the Lions Club, the proposal was approved and the fund was handed over to the project in February 2007 with an objective to supply all-time running drinking water to the community.
Now water is available 24 hours a day on the site without interruption and there is a constant flow of water at Gwalindaha village at a rate of approximately 0.5 liters/sec.
