On April 26, 2024, the Saptari district was completely destroyed by a massive fire. 16 houses of Sardar tole -5 , Kanchanrup Municipality and 14 houses of Mahadev Rural Municipality  were totally damaged due to the fire. A total of 30 families were totally destroyed and  made it extremely difficult for them to sustain. Help Nepal Network extended support to the fire victims of Spatrai District by providing Tarpaulins and Zinc Sheets.
