Jasmine treks the Everest Region to support HeNN
Jasmine Pradhan, who lives in the UK, has trekked along the Everest region of Nepal this autumn to support the charitable activities of the Help Nepal Network (HeNN).
In her Just Giving page, Ms Pradhan wrote: “ I recently lost my Granny who I was very close to. She was a great believer in supporting charities that do something to alleviate the injustices imposed on people just because of the circumstances of their birth, such as access to healthcare, alleviation of poverty, access to education etc. Granny was incredibly generous to many charities throughout her lifetime, and I believe she would have supported this one if she had been around to see what they do.”
Ms Pradhan further wrote: “I have chosen to fundraise in the memory of Jennifer Mettyear for the charity ‘Help Nepal Network’ for several reasons. Firstly the charity is Nepal based, and seeing as the trek we are undertaking is in Nepal, I think it is right that that is where the money goes. Lastly this trek is going to offer me the opportunity to walk with Granny in mind and raise money for a project she would have fully believed in. This is going to be a huge challenge for both Hal and I, but I am really excited to undertake it and contribute something back to such a beautiful country at the same time.”
Help Nepal Network would like to appeal all our members and well-wishers to support the wonderful work being done by Jasmine and donate for the good cause by visiting the following link:
