HeNN Sweden Organizes ‘Nepali Food Festival’
Help Nepal Network Sweden (HeNN-Sweden) organized “Nepali Food Festival 2011” on the 19th of November, 2011, in Solna, Stockholm.
This year, together with a three-course meal, the guests were also treated to a cultural show. Both the food and the show were highly appreciated by everyone present.
A little more than 100 people were present in the event. From the event, HeNN-Sweden generated SEK 15335.
Here are some impressions of the event from those who were there.
Rafael Araujo, a guest said:
“Me and my family had a great time at the Nepali evening. Our culture and tastes are completely different from Nepal, as we are from Brazil. We had the experience of a really good food, and at the same time, we have learnt more about the country Nepal, which I am fascinated about. Probably Nepal is my next vacation plan after this festival. Thanks.”
Another guest Nirjal Khadka, a student at Stockholm University, summed up his experience like this:
“It was wonderful to see how the Nepalese food festival has taken place. I think that it has been a huge success and achieved what it aimed to do. The event was really appreciated by everyone, and has set a benchmark for programs in the future. The co-ordination among the families and friends was really awesome and it has been a pleasure to have participated in the event. I would like to thank everyone who has taken their time off their busy schedule to assist in such a noble cause.”
The HeNN-Sweden team would like to thank all the guests who came up to be a part of the event, or contributed even if they could not make it.
Of course, a big appreciation also goes to everyone who pitched in their time/help to make the event successful!
