HELP NEPAL Network signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pancha Kanya Basic School in July 2016 promising financial support to provide a year’s salary (including Dashain bonus) for the school’s newly hired English medium teachers.

Along with the teacher’s salary which amounts to a total of NRs. 7,02,000/- (Seven lakh and two thousand rupees only), HeNN also funded reconstruction of school toilets that were severely damaged in the 2015 earthquake.

One of our supporters, Reshma Aryal contributed NRs. 2,50,000/- (Two lakh fifty two thousand rupees only) to build two new toilets for the school. Aryal was inspired by HeNN founder Rabindra Mishra’s book- Khana Pugos, Dina Pugos, and decided to donate her rent payments to HELP NEPAL Network.

HeNN Children’s Home in Dhulikhel was built and is being operated on the land belonging to Pancha Kanya Basic School. HELP NEPAL Network has coordinated with Pancha Kanya Basic School on numerous occasions, particularly to improve school infrastructure and quality of education since all the girls at the Children’s Home are educated at the school up to grade eight.

Earlier this year, HeNN signed another agreement to provide salary (including Dashain bonus) for one more English medium teacher and a teacher for the school kindergarten. Similarly, HeNN has also funded procurement of English medium books, educational materials and furniture.

HELP NEPAL Network has, in the past, supported the school in building temporary classrooms after its school buildings were damaged in the 2015 earthquake.
