PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Thokarpa Secondary School was established in 1971 as a primary school (Grade 1-3) and later in 1982, the school was upgraded to grade 4 and 5.

In 2005, the school got the approval from District Education Office to upgrade its classes yearly. Currently, the school is running till grade 9 and is planning to run grade 10 from 2010-2011.

The school has a total of 350 students and a dozen teachers. The aim of the school is to construct two additional classrooms to hold the upgraded classes and increase the number of students by giving them quality education.

The school approached Help Nepal Network for the financial support. HeNN decided to support the school in three phases.

The first installment of USD 2,112.68/-  was handed over on 27th December 2010 at the HeNN office by a leading industrialist, Siddhartha Rana, on the occasion of the formal inauguration programme of Help Nepal Network's secretariat in Kathmandu.

Mr Rana had donated 10 million rupees (USD 130,000) to HeNN Administrative Endowment Fund.
