Anil Thapa from HeNN team in UK was the sole Nepali who completed the Reykjavik marathon on Saturday 21st August 2004. His reason for taking part in the marathon was not to win the medal for himself, rather to spread HeNN’s message and to raise some fund for HeNN projects. How noble! “I enjoyed every second of it. On the track of 42 km, people from every household came outside, started playing their music, some started dancing, some even shouting Nepal, Nepal, Nepal(they saw my t-shirt advertising Help Nepal Network), to encourage runners. It was simply fantastic.” |
