Holds PhD degree in Chemistry. He had earlier worked in Nepal as a Senior Research Scientist at RONAST before coming to Australia in 1995.Currently he works as a Principal Research Scientist in Melbourne based Research Organisation. He was the first president of Nepali Association of Victoria and remained until 2000. During this period he was involved with HeNN, UK, on a project to help build library in Dolpa District, W. Nepal.

Jog Limbu
Vice President
Holds Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and had worked earlier in Nepal Electricity Board before moving to New Zealand where he worked for 11 years and served as the president of Nepal New Zealand Society for 3 years. Currently he works as a Senior Power System Engineer in an Australian company, Alston. He comes from Gorkha family background.

Kiran Shah
General Secretary
Holds a Masters degree in Microbiology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. After M.Sc, worked as a lecturer and diagnostic clinical microbiologist at Manipal College of Medical Sciences and Manipal Teaching Hospital at Pokhara, Nepal from 1999 - 2001. Came to Australia in 2002 to do PhD which is due to be completed by the end of 2005. Currently is a PhD scholar at Swinburne University of Technology Melbourne, Australia and working with a Rotavirus, a virus that causes diarrhoea in children, in collaboration with Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.

Holds a degree in Communication and Electronic Engineering in 1996. After completing bachelor degree, he worked as Senior System and Network engineering to configure Internet based solution in Nepal. Following that, he worked as an IT consultant in United Kingdom for Investment banks. Currently, he is working as Middleware consultant for New Zealand based IT company in Melbourne, Australia.

Holds a PhD (hydrology & soil erosion) from the University of Melbourne (Australia) with earlier degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the Tamilnadu Agricultural University (India) and the Institute of Agricultural Engineering (Israel). Prior to coming to Australia in 1999 as a PhD scholar under the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) scheme, he worked with the Nepal Government Department of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management for 5 years and with the Tribhuvan University for 2 years. He has extensive R&D&E (research, development and extension) experience on natural resources management, particularly on land and water sectors, especially in the Hindu-Kush Himalayan Region. He is currently working as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
